Default welcome!!

.....am i correct in assuming that if you visited on a monday that your brother is a level two..... my husband has been there over two years now, level four.... he has mentioned asking for a transfer to someplace closer but i am scared they will take that opportunity to move him farther away and i will never be able to see him..... i at least get to see him twice a month were he is.... has your brother ever had any problems there?

yes, he is in level 2. he was moved from IV about three years ago. they have said somethings about moving people, but nothing has happend so far. we go see him once a month, so i hope they dont move him far away. but oher then the food, having to quit smoking, and the rumors of moving poeple around, he says its the best one he's been in.

Hello everyone!
I've been reading the posts and decided I should introduce myself.
I'm Robin and my fiance Trever was transferred to CCCF (level I) yesterday after a whopping 12 day stint at Boyer Rd. First impression is it is the best place he's been in (all things considered of course). Big releif for me. He was in about 18 yrs ago (well before I knew him), so I know he can take care of himself and will be fine...but it doesn't stop me from worrying during those transitional times when I don't hear from him.

We're confused as to why they didn't take him directly there in the first place, but I've yet to decipher the logic of the DOC.

Anyhow..just wanted to say hello and I look forward to getting to know you.

Letters from my guy are taking a bit longer also. I wondered if maybe the pick up schedule had changed. He hasn't heard anything like that but thinks it's due to the holiday mail traffic because it's slower getting to him as well. He usually gets my letters in a day. The last few have taken 3 or 4 days to reach him.

Default Level II

My husband has been at carson city since 2005 he was just transferred to Level II the other day. He hasnt had any problems there and i am kind of nervous that he is moving to a different level. I heard that because you have more freedom in level 2 that the risk to receive tickets and get in trouble is higher. He never tells me whats going on inside of the prison policy wise or just normal day to day i think he thinks i will worry too much about him. If someone can give me the run down on Level II i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Sheri

I am going to assume he was in level IV before level II...

It has been a while since Danny was in level IV but if I remember right level IV wass on lockdown most of the day and could only be out of their rooms like 3 hours a day... well in level 2 they get to be out of their rooms from about 6am until midnight at Carson City... other than that they do get to have more things and they get more visits too... As far as I know they dont really get more tickets in level 2 than in level 4 but if a guy doesnt know how to act right I guess with the extra free time he could get himself more tickets.

I might be wrong on some of the times but like I said it has been a while since Danny was in Carson, but I think the rules are pretty much the same from one facility to the next.

Did you make a mistake for Tuesday and Thursday? 9am to 10pm? I thought that visiting would start in the pm. That was the only thing I needed to know for sure thanks for answering. I hope to get in a visit this week as soon as I'm approved and I already know the counselor had my application.

My husband was at Carson City. The CO's were nice at first until they found out that my uncle was a retired Lt. from there and then they started treating my husband and I like crap. Putting us right next to the desk and hanging on every word we said. I don't know what their problem was but if my uncle didn't have a problem with my husband then why did they? He was there less than a year and then they moved him to the furthest prison away in the U.P

Well I have been going up since February and so far so good. As for the ramp closure for 127 I chose to go that way since I have a thing for Kensington Metro Park along I-96. The detour wan't too bad and I got lucky on the way back no ramp closure, But I also heard the ramp closures should be done this week too.
