Question Wearing dresses and skirts for Elmira visits??

Can you wear a dress or a skirt to a visit at Elmira? If yes, what length does the dress/skirt have to be. I know shoulders must be covered, and nothing too tight. It's hot up there and I'd like to avoid wearing anything really constricting.

Knee length or longer. No slits.

Hey MisB! Elmira is probably one of the more relaxing facilities I've ever been regarding dress. of course you can wear dresses or skirts and they should be knee lenght as Momma Ann stated. You CAN have a slit in your skirt as long as the slit is not higher than your knee. For instance, I wear jean maxi skirts sometimes with slits but the slit only is as high as my knee, not above. Please no sleeveless, if you have a maxi dress with straps or no sleeves, you can pop a cute tee under it to please the gods. I know it can get mad hot up there sometimes especially on the weekends, but I hope you can find something comfy to wear.

Thanks a lot! They definitely are more relaxed up there. The only thing I know they are very strict on is ripped clothing, and covered shoulders. I'm planning on wearing a maxi skirt with no slits so I should be good. Thanks again.
