Well, you're welcome! And that's great news that he got to call and now you know more of what's going on. It's the "being in the dark" that gets so difficult at times. Usually it just takes a bit of patience and a lot of faith to keep from getting overly anxious. Count your blessings when there's progress! Z.

I do have a copy of a commissary list from a men's camp from Spring 2007. If you'd like a copy, please PM me. Thanks.

They are moving him from Lewisburg camp to another facility. I dont know the process exactly but he said 2 weeks before I hear from him. I havent stoped crying. Lewisburg from what I understand was pretty good to him.

Default USP Lewisburg

I've seen a few threads about people with loved ones at the camp, but is there anyone here with loved ones in the high security facility? Just looking to see if there's anyone else out there and what it's like...

Wow...no one with loved ones here? Interesting. I haven't heard from my guy in a few days, so I was wondering if they were on lockdown. I know I could call the facility, but I'd feel better knowing someone here had ties there so that we could keep each other updated.

Thank you for the info! I called the facility several times today and it just rang out. Do you know why they are on lockdown? This must have started several days ago because I haven't heard from The Boy since Wednesday...

Lockdown update...there were several fights and the facility is STILL on lockdown. A stabbing happened as well. They are really cutting up there...

Hey Inked! The Boy used to be at Terre Haute, but requested a move to somewhere closer to home...which happened to be Lewisburg USP. It doesn't seem as though there are many here with loved ones at Lewisburg, though. I'll be going to visit in a few months, so I'll get the inside track...eventually!

yeah i kind of keep touch with his old friends from TH just keeping them company in letters and sending love and respect to each other. i think one is being transferred closer to his home though and the other is i believe getting out soon..so not sure. Ironically today I heard from a 3rd person there, so i guess lewisburg is getting popular

Getting popular, which is unfortunate! I think they are still on lockdown, supposedly off tomorrow. *sigh* I'm ready for them to be off! I haven't even gotten a letter, so I'm not sure what's up with that.

Hi 146... My brother is in Lewisburg Camp. It's only been a short time so far. I am still learning my self. But if I can help at all I sure will.

Take Care on this Labor Day!

Hi Penguin,

My Husband is at the camp, since 2/5/08. He'll be home soon Thankfully!
I've learned alot. If I can be of any help or if you just want to chat please feel free to get in touch with me.

Is your brother odd or even? Do you go to visit? Just wondering if we've ever seen each other at a visit. Although I have some close friends and family that is supportive, no one that is not in our shoes REALLY understands.

Take care & like I said, feel free to keep in touch.
Peace,

Default Hi Leyah

The guards at the Camp are pretty decent. When you get to visit, the schedule goes like this: We can visit every other weekend, one weekend the visits are Friday 5-8pm, Saturday 8am-3pm & 5-8pm and then again on Sunday 8-3pm and 5-8pm. Then the next visit is what we call a short visit and it's from 5-8pm. Federal Holidays are extra visits, we can go for 3 hrs, usually 3 hours in the morning or for 3 hours in the afternoon, the times are designated on visiting schedules and the hours for all visits are determined by our guys numbers, whether they are odd or even, and this is determined by the 5th digit in their assigned number. We can not go in early, if you try they will send you away and make you come back. We can go in anytime during the visit hours but - if you're not there by 9am you have to come back after 10am because they have a count. I can help you with tons more info why don't you e-mail me and we can chat? Do you know about sending money, about phone calls etc? What part of NY are you from?

So glad someone finally posted about Lewisburg!
E-mail me.
Chin up.
Counting Down!
