I heard that CA will be transferring inmates that have 15 years+ back to CA. Is this true?

That is so stupid....what is the state thinking??? what difference does it make to bring back the higher sentense inmates vs the lower...just bring them back already! and cut the BS. It is obvious AB900 is failing and they're trying to cover it up.

AB900 is ineffective and the state knows it but they make it out to be otherwise. Right now the economy is in shambles and it does not make sense that they do not want to reduce the inmate population and be more cost-efficient in this area, yet, they want to lay off teachers, eliminate many college courses, etc. It just blows my mind away.

I came upon a SacBee newspaper article that stated that Mr. Arnie has withdraw his proposal to release 22,000 non-violent offenders. He thinks it's too risky for the public. Has anyone heard anything about the 3-panel judges?

Why doesn't that surprise me? Mr. Arnie has no backbone to do the right thing.

Just got news that the three panel judges will be getting together at the end of this month. Hopefully, the Feds take over, mandate the prison population and bring everyone back to Cali.

Bad news ladies...the 3-panel judges ruled on Wednesday that AB900 is legal and therefore inmates will continue to be transferred out of state. That also means CA can and most likely will extend their contract with CCA.

They're transferring more inmates from CA to TCCF either this week or next week.

I do know that when my loved one's group first arrived, they had problems that caught the TCCF staff off guard because the staff didn't seem to know how to avoid or take care of it. After several weeks they still hadn't given them their property. Now it appears that the CA inmates are still being "punished" because more and more of them are being put in the hole and they're almost always on lockdown.

I would like to know why they were sent to a maximum security facilty in the first place.

I called and they are on lockdown. I received a letter from my husband who said that they're on lockdown because an item was missing from the kitchen.

I didn't know this was a max security place. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to receive phone calls. I thought about using the PCO service that is advertisedhere. Does anyone know if they are any good. Also, it seems to take a long time to get money on the books. I just want this to be over. I'm tired and just when I thought he was going to stay in AZ. Figures
