I'm not sure if my friend is still in unit A but I got a call from him earlier this morning and we only chatted for 5 minutes because the computers were having some maintenance work. Hope you hear from your husband if not already.

Unhappy

My son just called, he is in B unit at Pollock, they told them at breakfast they are going on lock down and they don't know how long. There was no fighting, no stabbings, nothing so why are they going on lock down? Makes no sense to me. I hate it!!!

No, I know the thread is for both....but people aren't specifying which facility they are taking about in posts.

I am wanting to go see my son in Pollock. Can anyone tell me a good, cheap, and safe place to stay? I am very limited on money and would hate to sleep in my car. I haven't seen my son in a long time and really need to see him and talk to him. The bop has approved for him to have surgery on his neck and I need to see him before they do it. I live in Kansas and if anyone would like to carpool please hit me up.

9 times out of 10 I stay at Super 8 in Alexandria, it's decent for the most part and $55 plus tax. Just stayed this past weekend, actually just got home not too long ago. Super 8 has a decent complimentary breakfast and most rooms have a fridge and microwave. Staff already knows me by name and I usually call in route and they have all my info on file and being that they know me can even make things happen for me even if they are full. Since I visit often, to cut costs I will drive through the night and check in right at 7am (this is just about the only hotel that will do that for you) so I can get dressed real quick and leave by 740 cuz it's about a 20 min. drive to Pollock from there. As it gets closer to the holidays more people go so it's best to get there right at 8 to avoid waiting til after morning count which is 11am. Randomly due to fog lately they have been having fog count in the mornings which is after every unit goes to chow until 11 am. My last visit 3 weeks ago I was there right at 8 and turned away due to fog count till 11. Just on that Saturday, not on Sunday and that's just weather permitting so unknown when they decide to do those lockdowns....... Hope this helps

Hi my partner is in Unit C Pollock USP. I have not heard from him in 2-3 days and am a little concerned. If anyone knows what is going on there I would be really appreciative. Thanks.
