Please read the sticky on Elmira Reception. They don't get to call very much. Maybe once a week. Sometimes a little more when they figure things out. Also he has to get his numbers approved. Could be two weeks before you get a call. You may not recognize the number so answer every thing and listen carefully to the robot voice as to how to accept the call. things.

And set up your account at offender connect.com. He can't send letters without pens paper stamps. He needs money to buy those things. Once you have his state is number or DIN send him a money order payable to him. You can put in a letter. Always put a return name and address on envelop or it won't be delivered. If you have his DIN send him letters. He may not be able to answer but he will really appreciate the letters.

Keep writing him. Everybody copes differently. Just keep sending your support thru a letter until he writes. Be patient. Adapting to another world (as you know) can be stressful.

That is what they say. What actually happens is quite different. Send him &10. So he can get some stuff trust me. And send him letters regardless.

That is great you got the 5 envelops. It does not always happen. Better to get their own supplies if you can help.

You have to have your return name and return address in the corner of the envelop. You must have his DIN number next to his name. Those are the most common mistakes.

I highly recommend reading some of our sticky posts all this info is there. But it is a learning process. Lesson number one is things move in DOCS time not our outside time. I cannot tell you how much more patient I am since my years dealing with DOCS.

Did you put your return name and a full return address on the envelop? They won't accept mail without that.

If you did all that my next question would be if there is a no contact order between the two of you.
