I last spoke to my husband on Tuesday. These lock downs are so crazy there, but once again during a oliday when they know many people want to call there loved ones or see them for the weekend.

We all truly have to lift every inmate in prayer. My husband has told me many stories of what them CO's do to retaliate with the inmates. I also pray for them CO's and staff because God will deal each one of them accordily...just saying!

Default Pray

Our flesh is weak we forget that the fight is done and won in the spirit
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord. Zechariah4:6

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be make known to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

You have heard that it was said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. " but I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:43-44

Deedeeortiz , my hubby is on B yard, they are still on lockdown. When I visited my husband this last weekend he said they had already begun searches last Wednesday and found nothing so they were going to re-search this week. Appearantly there was a stabbing and the weapon cant be found. My husband says that fights never cause them to go on lockdown, as fights happen OFTEN. There could be a murder, stabbing, anything and if the weapon is not found then that would be the cause of lockdown. If the weapon is apprehended then lockdown most likely WILL NOT happen. Hope that answers a few questions for some of you. For some reason, that still doesnt leave me with a comforting feeling when their safety is involved. Hopefully soon they will be off of lockdown.

Just an update on B YARD.... I visited with my hubby today and he said they sign the paperwork that they normally have to sign prior to LD being lifted on Friday. Which means they will most likely be off of LD by Tuesday or Wednsday. He said they are finishing up searches in B5 today and Monday.

SoCalPuppyLove .... no problem. When my hubby first got there, I felt like I was going crazy trying to find info. So I dont mind speading the info that I get along the way in hopes of helping someone out ... I know a little info helps relieve a lot of stress. Luckily I'm only 3 and a half hours away from HDSP ... I've been fortunate to be able to visit every single weekend since he got there in Dec. Every visit is worth it, whether it be only one hour behind glass or the 6 hour contact visit. I've been blessed to have the ability every weekend and I pray that I continue to be blessed.

Inmate Death at High Desert State Prison- from CDCR news today. Does anyone know what yard this happened on?
Posted: 26 Feb 2013 08:41 AM PST
Cellmate moved to segregation pending investigation

Susanville – Officials with the Investigative Services Unit at High Desert State Prison (HDSP), the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office, the Susanville Police Department and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the February 24 death of an inmate as a homicide.

A 26-year-old HDSP inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at 7:05 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced
dead at 8 a.m. The name of the inmate, which is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was admitted to HDSP from Yolo County on April 10, 2012, with a 22-year sentence for sodomy with a child under 14.

His cellmate, who has been identified as the suspect, was retained in the Administrative Segregation Unit pending investigation of the incident. The 40-year-old cellmate was admitted to HDSP from Los Angeles County on November 15, 2010, with a 110-year to life sentence for first-degree murder and unlawful sex with a victim under 16.

The Office of Inspector General’s Bureau of Independent Review was notified.

High Desert State Prison in Lassen County opened in 1995 and houses 3,479 minimum-, medium-, and maximum-custody inmates. The institution provides academic classes and vocational instruction and employs approximately 1,275 people.
