Default How do I send a package to my son?

Im trying to send my son a package from the gainmatepackage place. It says I have to be on a list. How do i get on the list ? Im approved to send money. Is that not the same list ? How many lists are there and how do i get on them ? Lol I live to far away to visit. So I dont need on that one. I would like to video chat 1 day. He cant call so no need on that 1 yet. I have no idea how to get on these lists. Is there a website that explains all the lists? I cant find one. ... when he gets tranfered do i have to get back on the lists ? Or are these a 1 time get approved? Who knew sending an approved package could be such a pain .lol. thank you for any help.

Geez Louise....I can't find anymore info than you did (Approved Family and friends of inmates may participate....) On that same GA DOC page, it does say: Should you have questions about any of the package programs, please call Union Supply directly at 855-247-0563.

Thank you. It would be so much easier if you could just buy and they send it. It feels a bit much to have to be approved and on list to send him clothes or hygiene stuff. Its not like i touch the package. Lol. I wish there was a counselor for me to help me get on lists and show me what i can or can not do with mail etc. Lol or a web page with a list of list lol . Thanks again.

You may have to have him send you a visitors application.
From the sounds of what you wrote.....if you are approved to visit (even if you dont) you should then be able to send him a package.....
Thats what im guessing.

oops just checked this link
http://www.dcor.state.ga.us/sites/al...ation_FAQs.pdf
He has to add you. It also states he cant have visitors until they have completed a diagnostic eval on him so depending on how long he's been in there.....you might have to wait until that happens before you can send him a package.

You do have to be on the approved visitor list. I was able to send my son a package order once he was in his facility. If he's in Jackson for diagnostic, you can't do anything but write. I seem to remember using Access Secure Pak when my son was in jail https://www.accesscatalog.com/index.html?State=GA . I'm not sure where your son is being held. Here is the link to the GA Inmate Package site with their questions page. It says they have a live chat so maybe they can give you better answers.
