Lightbulb PRD changing

Anyone know how it works when an inmate gets moved to a trusty camp, Does the PRD automatically change? He went from G1 to S2 but his PRD has been the same since he went in in June. He was just moved to a trusty camp in October. I hope I make sense. Thank you.

No, it doesn't change just by moving to a trusty camp.

I don’t believe there’s a time earning change just because you move to a trusty camp. I vaguely remember that their already maxed out at good time earning before that.

Calculations will move up or down if there is a change to the time-earning status. However, if someone is at SAT III, then they were already maxed on the time. A change in custody level (which a move to an outside trusty camp would be) has no effect (generally speaking) on time computations.

G1 is the custody level while S2 is the time-earning status.

With the reference to having been in since June, the other thing to remember is that an offender HAS to be in TDCJ for six months before any promotion in time-earning status can occur. This is why there are small numbers of outside trusty status offenders who are only a Line Class I.
