Default Visits banned at Otisville

https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news...es-visits.html

"The measles outbreak in New York has taken a new turn, with the announcement on Thursday that prisoners at the Otisville Correctional Facility will not be allowed to have visitors.

The decision was made after it was learned that a Jewish child with the measles had visited his father at the facility in recent days."

Pesach ends April 27th.

It doesn't say how long the visits are being halted for, but where my husband was an inmate got the chicken pox a few months ago. They then banned visits for anyone who was pregnant.

People need to vaccinate.

The first two days and last two days of Passover are the most religious, so it's likely anyone who is observant would not be visiting their loved ones in Ottisville during Passover anyway, especially since it starts on Good Friday this year, so that covers two weekends. Unfortunately, it's everyone else that loses out on visiting, however, better safe than sorry and god only knows how many people that kid exposed since you are infectious even before your diagnosed. At least the family notified the prison of the case.

It says at least until the end of Pesach, but not determined yet.
