I only voted for one,(Bibb) but my brother has spent short passing thru time at about three others. That's not counting the countyjail, out of state prison,(WCDC in Epps, LA) or the WRin Alex City he just got transfered into. We are so happy he's finally back in Alabama we don't quite know what to do yet. But I could use some help from ya'll if possible. I can't seem to find much info about Alex City WR, beyond what's on the DOC website and that doesn't tell me anything about when we can see him, what we can bring, send him, is his visitor list still the same, how can we get money to him etc.? Any info anyone might have would be very much appreciated.

Thank You!!
Bless You All!!

Anyone who has someone in Easterling feel free to PM me anytime. Also add me to your buddy list I am new to this site, just joined today.

My husband was at Bullock and it took me four hours to get there. He was transferred to Limestone in July 2006 and now it only takes an hour and a half. I hope he is able to finish his sentence there. I had to drive to Bullock for four years before he was transferred.
I know what you mean about the family having to pay. They need to try and place inmates closer to their families!!!!

Just wanted to add a quick note... if your loved one has been transferred to a new facility but you can't add another vote for the new facility because you've voted before, just leave a note here. I can manually update the poll to reflect that facility (just did it for Amy's for Limestone).

Thanks!

A friend of my sons' is there right this moment. It is work release, some get work some don't. They get to carry their on wallet with money in it. They are allowed to go to Wallmart before it opens to get things they need. Wear their own cloths. Theres a lib. there. There's drugs all over the place. They do come in and do sweeps, they just did one a few weeks ago. The way he explained it to me a bunch of men dressed in black (sorry forgot what name they gave this group). They came in at 8PM stayed til midnight. Took each individual out of dorms and did sweeps and arrest. They can make phone calls as much as they want.(nice big bill for you)
It's a safe place, just tell him to stay away from the drugs and can't use computer. They are not locked up and can walk around.
How do you know for sure he is being sent to Dacatur?? They load them up from Kilby, put them on a bus late at night or early in morning and the inmate has no idea where he is going till they tell him to get off bus. Wherever he ends up he can call you when he gets there. He will ask you to bring him some street cloths. I hope this helps, believe me I know the stress you are going thru.
