Default Skyview Unit - Texas Prison

Does anyone have any information on Skyview? I know where it is located and what type of unit it is but does or has anyone had a loved one there? My friend's son was taken there and she was curious to if it was a decent unit.
Thanks!

Dana, my friend from Ad Seg was sent there after a suicide attempt. I called to try to help him, and talked to his counselor there, and they were very helpful. I don't know much about the unit itself, because my friend G just said that they were all kept apart from each other, because of the reasons they were there. But he didn't complain about it either.
Sorry I'm not much help.

Love ya!

Thanks Nance.
I really haven't heard anything about it until yesterday. Deb did call and speak to an assistant's assistant yesterday who was very nice. Which was a little of a shock. She told her that they were a part of TDCJ but nothing like TDCJ. She also told her to call if she had any questions and she would help her if she could. Deb is just curious and wondering what to expect.

My Nephew is going to Skyview today. How will we get his inmate number? Is there alot of crime there? He has some mental problems and his Mother and Mysely are very worried... We are new to this and not sure what to do.

Thanks, Laura.

Laura, here's the Offender Locator site link. Just enter your Nephew's name and the information you have. It should pull up his TDCJ number. The second link has the address and other information for the Skyview Unit. Hope this helps and blessings as always.

Default Additional Information

Laura, your more than welcome. Here is TDCJ's website with additional information on visitation, sending books, puttting money on his books, etc. Keep us posted on how he doing and we'll be praying for your family. Here's the link.
