Question What Rhode Island Prison or Jail is your loved one at?

Please use this thread to post which prison your loved one is currently located at. Please do not use this thread for general discussion. It is meant to be a resource to help PTO members locate other members that have loved ones in the same prison, or close by. If you wish to discuss a particular Unit, please start a new thread in the forum.

Default John Moran Facility

My fiancee is in the Moran Medium Facility. RI is pretty small so all state facilities are located together in Cranston. There is Intake, Minimum, Women's, 2 mediums (moran & price), Maximum and High Security.
Wyatt Detention is a Federal facility so it is not located in the same place.

I HATE where he is... the guards(for the most part) are (edited)... if you have big (edited)they are all sweet and nice but if you are just a normal kinda girl forget it... they are rude! Now not all of them but the majority.

One day we were in the visiting room and the guard called him over to have me button my shirt up... now... i had on a big button down shirt with a tank top underneath but that was a problem... BUT the chick with the short skirt with nothing on underneath- not a problem... cause they got to enjoy the view too!

For the most part they make you feel like you are a criminal- like you are a piece of trash and they don't care.... as much as i miss my baby- i don't miss dealing with them. It is so bad- he has told his mom to stop visiting cause they have been so rude to her.

Good luck if you have a loved one in this facility.

John Moran. I have to say I've gone through my battles with the CO's there, but I think that once they see you there all the time, they kind of calm down a little. Of course they all have their days, where they are just mean to put it nicely

Hi everyone, my son is at Medium 2 I believe it is Moran. I also have had lots of problems with being treated rudley to say the least. I won't give up thou. They know your not a crimianl or you can't get in, but they treat you awful! that is to put it midly.

hello franks girl....about your guy getting a job before he is released....there is a guy at the ACI...in 'prison industries'...his name is larry walsh...(I can't guarantee you he hasn't retired....) if he is still there I would call and ask for him....if anyone can get your guy a job it's Larry....he's a great guy...really cares about the inmates and especially folks going home... he started the painting program whereby guys at the RI ACI went out to companies and did professional painting jobs and repairs...it was very successful...they guys got paid, etc...so I'd start there...
good luck...please let me know how you make out..
Eddri

thanks, I haven't been on the site, time just started to go fast once he got a job - his brother's widow married this guy with a lot of companies and gave him a job letter. He got out in October but now he's back in, violated his parole, which s*cks, but he'll be home soon, 53 more days!!
How is your time going?

I am glad that he came out and was doing well, and that even though he violated his parole he only has 51 more days before he comes home.. i hope he still have his job that would be awesome
