Default Carpooling

Hi,

I know someone who resides in the Bronx who is interested in carpooling to Eastern C.F., willing to share expenses. Do you have a contact number or email address where you can be reached?

Default Good News For Long Islanders

Hello families I have found a new bus service to upstate prisions. This is such good news fro me at least because living on Long Island going into Jamaica at 2am and waiting for the bus uptate to pick me up at 4am is/was not fun.

So to get off the bus the other day and see this sign with a number on it about a new service to go upstate was heaven sent.

I called the number on it and spoke to the lady in my excitememnt I didn't even get her name but thee name of the service is By Your Side Transit.

They service Eastern Long Island as well as Western Long Island.
They pick up at local train stations including Riverhead,Ronkonkama,Wyandach, Freeport,Hempstead and Mineola. Take you up to the prision and bring you back.

My Fiance is in Wallkill and she said the fee is 60.00 round trip.

I am so grateful for this new service if you are interested in them here is the number 1-631-591-0993, 1-631-566-2945.

I hope this helps others on Long island.

Thatz a relief. I live 5 minutes away from the train station. My Husband is close to me right now where I don't have to take a bus. He will be moved when his classification is downgraded so I will definitely keep this number handy. Thanx for the info.

I Also saw this sign Awhile back afta I went to see hubby in Riverhead & it's funny cuz we had Just been talkin about how I'd get 2 see him usin a transportation service. I posted info on this in the transportation forum. The lady runnin it now is LaShan, she's Really nice. They charge $60 for adults, $25 for kids & have a raffle 4 a free ticket lyk every month & ur 4th ride is free. Wen I 1st called I spoke 2 a man who said they go 2 all facilities but Unfortunately wen I spoke 2 LaShan she said they're down drivers so they only go 6 hours away & they go 2 each hub every 2 weeks, not sure if they go on Saturday or Sunday, and they use a van. I think Eventually they will be hirin more drivers so they can go more frequently & 2 more facilities again. I was Goin 2 use them wen I visited hubby at Downstate last month but I ended up gettin a ride & just paying for the gas. If any1 uses them can u Please post ur experience wit them here, lyke how was the ride, whea & wen u left from, wat facility u went 2, etc.

They're Not using those #'s anymore. I reached LaShan at 631-512-8195 , I think it's a cell a you can leave a message if nobody picks up. I was also wondering how often if at all they make any stops for the restroom since it Is a van.

Default Are there any NY Van Services to Wallkill?

Hi, I'm new here, but not new to visits. It's been a long time. I went to Wallkill a few times in the winter, but the two van services were so slow. I thought I'd drive next time. Not wanting to drive, I need to find some van services. My baby can't call me right now, so he's assuming I have the numbers to make arrangements for Saturday. Can anyone help me out with that information?

Im looking on info on visits and if you are allowed to hold hands during a visit and are you able to give your man a hug and kiss when you see him? This is all very new to me so any help would greatly be appreciated!

I live in Florida & my baby is serving life in shawangunk. I prefer to drive and stay at a hotel than depend on other transportation since it seems like its not easy nor reliable to count on a ride/van service. I drive up once a month and visit three days in a row. Im planning on moving to wallkill or newburgh once I find a job so I can be near him & marry him. There is a gathering happening this month in Queens which is a great way to meet others and help one another. Hoping the best for all & good luck. Try to make it to that event.
