Default FPC-FSL- Camps~ How many have ties to a Federal Camp?

**Please note this is only on Federal Camps. Other polls are started or will be by end of this weekend.**

What Federal Camp are or have you been affected by?

If you have a loved one inside, designated or have been there...please let us know.

This is a multiple choice poll which means you can choose more then one option for those who have traveled with the BOP! (And there are a lot of choices!)

Thank you in advance for taken place in our polls!

petnanny,

The United States Penitentiary (USP) in Pollock, Louisiana is a high security institution housing male offenders. An adjacent satellite prison camp houses minimum security male offenders.
USP Pollock is located in central Louisiana and is surrounded by the Kisatchie National Forest in southeastern Grant Parish, Louisiana. The facility is situated approximately fifteen miles north of Alexandria, Louisiana.

Take Interstate 10 E from Houston toward Baton Rouge. At Layfayette take Hiway 49 North. Take the Pineville Express way North. Take the hiway 165 exit. Proceed 7 miles through Town of Ball. Look for a sign that says USP. Make a Left on Airbase Road.

Keep the Faith

Michael

Default Pollock Federal Camp

Thank you Michael, for the info on Pollock, especially the driving directions from Houston. It appears to be a four hour drive from Houston, which means no day trips. i can't drive at night due to night blindness. We were hoping he would be transferred to Beaumont Low, which is only a 1 1/2 hour drive away, but he was assigned to a Camp in another state. At least he will be in a Camp now, and have a little more freedom. Your information is always appreciated, thanks again.

I thought I had added to this poll, but evidently not. My son is at Edgefield Camp with an outdate of May 18,2007 to HWH.

This is my first post on this site. My daughter arrived at FPC Lexington KY last Thursday. One week later, still no orientation, no commissary. Any info on this would be most appreciated.

My son is in Atlanta's Satellite camp. I can only tell you that he had to spend over a week in what they call "the hole" before he was taken to his present dorm so there was no commisary til he got there. Hope this helps!

CJ's mom--it might be 3 or 4 weeks until you hear from her, but hear from her you will, eventually.

I remember being so distraught not hearing from my boyfriend (no phone call, no letter, didn't even know where he was AT ALL) for 3 weeks. I burst into tears one day at work, crumpled up and sobbing in the arms of a co-worker *very inappropriate!* but I heard from Matt 2 days later. Keep the faith, she'll be in touch as soon as she can.

Default texarkana, August 8

My two sons will self surrender two weeks from today to Texarkana. It is a 7 hour drive for me so phone and letters are going to be so important to all of the family. Although I have not posted much, I have read many of the messages and appreciate the information and support that both I and my son, chrisatlanta have received from all of you, especially SusanT and TxRhino. I know I will be relying on all of you even more during the long wait for them. Thanks.
