You can start with the parole ombudsman and find out what you can do and what your next steps would be.

I have a quesstion, what if my man is being released from doing State Time will he be released from Huntsville or will he be released from the prison he is doing his time in. Does anyone know about, "Motion to Adjudicate?" I had a friend tell me that any tickets or warrants that my man might have can be removed if we do this paper work since he has been incarcerated? Is this true or not? Will they pick him up if he owes any tickets at the jail the day he will be released? I am worried because I thought we had paid all the tickets already. Scary story is that they will wait to the last minute to notify me that he has been released to a sheriff or county jail to do the time for the tickets. True or not? HELP!

True on all counts. Yes, there is papers that you can file with the court he has a ticket in, actually HE has to file it, that the judge may or may not accept, but it is worth a shot. The judge does NOT have to grant it.
Yes, they can take him straight from the unit to the jail that he has warrants in...not a ticket, but a warrant. Clear them up NOW......

My hubby got the afadadvit for time served there at his TDC unit. I think I still have a blank one I can mail to you. It is not notorized, so I just filled it out and signed hubby's name.

My hubby's was with City of Austin, it was granted, and it took about 7 days for the warrant to be lifted from the database. That was $575.00 that they erased for us as time served.

Good Luck! But the sooner you start working on this the better. I would suggest faxing and mailing or hand delivering and faxing.....just in case one gets lost or misplaced.

OKAY, I am reading 2 different time frames for release. 8:30 was one, with the expectation of waiting an hour or more. The other was they release at 10:30 and 2:30.

Can anyone that has been there recently clarify?

THANKS A MILLION TO ALL!!

My understanding is you need to be there as close to 8am as possible to get a good parking spot. He could be released anytime between 8am and 5pm but from what I have heard most are released between 8am and 10am. I would take a book, magazines, snacks and a laptop is you have a wireless card for it. How exciting for you guys!

Default OK I have a question?

My Man is to be release in November but he has a warrant for failer to appear in court for a ticket here in our town. The court who issued the warrant is the same court that extradited him to Texas. His court hearing was for 1/3/07 but was sent to Texas in Dec 06. I spoke to the court clerk and sheriff who has called here looking for him that I told them he was sentence and incarcerated in Texas when I got back from his hearing. How do I clarify this since they told me they put a freeze on it til he comes home? Is that even possible or will they be waiting for him at the Wall? I need to know before he comes home.

You can call 936-737-6467 to find out if he has a detainer on his time sheet and if he does, you can ask what agency put it on there. If he does have a detainer, I would say chances are good that they will be picking him up. Sorry!

Default site to find out parole answer?

My husbands review date is tomorrow (June 3rd,2007). Is there a site that I can go to and find out the decision before we have to wait for them to notify us? I know about the Offender Search page, is that the only site that would mention about his parole? Also will it change if they decide to grant him parole? will it show a date?

pojs --- have you found the number you were looking for? If not PM me and I might be able to help.

bigfoundswifey, has your husband been seen by the IPO at his unit yet. That is what starts the parole process. Where did you get the review date from? Katy

They will be wearing whatever they find in a room of donated clothing that fits! While some of the guys released the day my hubby was, could have blended into a crowd, most definitely stood out! Some outfits (including hubby's) were just pitiful.

As far as I know, the stuff they had on when they entered the system had to have been picked up by family or friends - it does not follow them around.

I told my man I will be bringing him a change of clothing. My man blew up since being locked up from a 36 to a 40 or 42 LOL. So I will be going shopping for an outfit for him. Then take him shopping for a whole new wardrobe that I am picking out. No more tight jeans for him, . He will not be anyone elses eye candy .

My guy has gotten a lot bigger too--working out actually. But hey, 15 years is a lot of time to change clothes sizes. I've been buying him items here and there....athletic shorts, t-shirts, boxers, socks....we will have to see what size jeans and pants he will be into now. We will have to try on shoes also for sure because they fit so differently.

I finally have a "hands-on" update for this thread, having picked up my guy on Friday the 3rd of August. 246 were released that day. Parking wasn't so bad (it did fill up quickly...but the spots on the street weren't too bad). Besides those released into county/etc custody....no one was released until 11 am.

While one lady whose son who had completed his time flat--was told her guy would be out from 8-10. Then I was told that my guy on parole would be released from 10-12. Well, NO ONE was released until 11am. And then they very quickly released everyone. Guys were actually coming out of the front door when the huge wave came from down on the east side.

The idea for taking snacks and drinks is an excellent idea.

You can wear whatever you want since you won't be going inside the unit.
