I have 3#s that I got off this thread. Can anyone clarify which number is for what and what info they will provide?
936-261-2092 release coordinator
512-406-5299 Austin but for what?
512-406-5202 release status
I am familiar with the 5202# and have called. He finishes his class on 2-1 and they still don't have a date and neither does the PO. Am I calling the right number? Thanks in advance

Default Have questions about leg monitor

We made parole with a leg monitor. Does anyone know when the monitor is put on? Is it done in Huntsville before release or when he reports to the
PO? Just curious, I'm just glad he is finally coming home.

Dustin's was put on before he walked out of the Walls and when we got home we called the PO and she activated it to the monitor.

I wonder if this varies due to some unknown reason from person to person? Does anybody know?

This is my experience with the WALLS!
I got there about 8am and i found parking on the right side of the unit (very easy). My children and i checked in to the family waiting area (directly in front of the unit). Then at about 9:45am, Some people from a church came in and asked me who I was waiting for and i gave them my husbands name to see if he was on the list that they had. They then asked me to fill out a form with all of my husbands info . I declined and told them that if he wanted to register, he would once he was releasesd!!
At about 10am the first batch of guys (ones with complete sentences) were released out of the front door. Then at about 11:30am a second group of men came out of the front door. These were some of the guys leaving on parole. The unit DOES still let the men walk to the bus station. And they waisted no time!!

Word of advise BRING SOMETHING TO STAY BUSY ...there were no games of mags. or books in that waiting room. And it is only big enough for about 30 people. My children and i ended up waiting outside.
Also the walls unit is crammed into the middle of a small community!!
It was nothing like i pictured it and i was soo glad to drive away!!
Also there are plenty of stores and fast food places around if you need to walk and get something.

How do we know if our loved one will be required to wear a monitor? It seems some people already know before their loved one is released.

I am sorry that my response was not very clear the first time. OK I really meant ...When the parole officer visits your home in order to approve your parole plan. They should talk with you about a monitor.

Some POs come to the house and some just call to verify that it is okay for them to live there. The time frame is anyones guess but if you haven't heard from parole in the next week or 10 days you should call the IPO at your husbands unit to make sure all of his paperwork is in order.
