Default Fed Jail In Los Angeles

I have a friend in the Fed jail in downtown Los Angeles. Is there any way to find out his future court dates? The BOP website only says he is there. When I called they wouldn't give me any info.

And they're not going to. Even if they had the information they wouldn't give it to you as it creates security issues. Your only option is to contact the court system and/or have your attorney get the information from the courts. The BOP doesn't do any of the scheduling, they just make sure that he is present on his court dates. Sorry

Default Pacer

You can access all his court information on PACER. It is updated daily and after you find your friend's court no (different that BOP) no. you can look up the case.

What is PACER?
Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) is an electronic public access service that allows users to obtain case and docket information from Federal Appellate, District and Bankruptcy courts, and the U.S. Party/Case Index via the Internet. Links to all courts are provided from this web site. Electronic access is available by registering with the PACER Service Center, the judiciary's centralized registration, billing, and technical support center.

PACER is a service of the United States Judiciary. The PACER Service Center is run by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

The PACER System offers an inexpensive, fast, and comprehensive case information service to any individual with a personal computer (PC) and Internet access. The PACER system permits you to request information about a particular individual or case. The data is displayed directly on your PC screen within a few seconds. The system is simple enough that little user training or documentation is required.
You have to sign up for access, and there is a minimal $.08 per page fee for viewing. It is not a commercial site, and wont cost you much at all. It is maintained by the fed courts, and they only charge a minimum fee to recoup expenses of maintaining the database. This is clearly the way to go.
Go to http://pacer.uspci.uscourts.gov/
Once resistered, you can enter his name and get records of court proceedings. I full check will cost you less than $10.v

You could also write and ask him. The defendant usually knows in advance.
