Default How much time do you have to do on a ten year sentence?

i was wondering how many days on a year do you have to do for a ten year sentence, for a none violent charge?

My man says it's 2 months and 11 days out of every year..
But I don't know if that's for everyone..
He does, and he had a non violent charge

I think the general rule is 25% of the sentence unless it is stated that he has to do 70%. I think at sentencing you would find that out though. While my fiance was classified as having a violent crime because they said he had a gun even though he didn't, he was sentenced to 10 years and will end up doing 2.5 years. Non violent offenders are eligible for the yearly kick out though but that is still hard to get approved for.

I have been doing this with my fiance for almost 2 years, 3 months. Sometimes I feel like I know more than I ever wanted to about the prison system. At least in the state of Arkansas.
