Default TASC - Anyone know about alternatives to incarceration?

Anyone hear of treatment alternatives instead of prison???

mylovebug,

I'm still not quite sure what you're looking for specifically. Are you looking for folks that have participated in TASC or just wondering in general what the program is about?

Here's a link to the TASC website that might be helpful.

I did a search on PTO to see if anything popped about TASC, and not much did so hopefully the website can help you out some until someone has an answer.

TASC is for offenders when they leave prison, it runs along with parole. They are very strict and work just like another parole officer. They require you to evaluate and attend treatment outside prison.

It is not an alternative to prison.

People who have probation can also qualify for TASC. They are not parole or probation officers as they do not have the AOIC certificatioon behind them. Which is not necessarily a good thing. Sometimes it makes them extra tough for no reason. It's not a bad program. You just have to be compliant.
