As for sheets, gonna trust they've got good housekeeping. I did want to get some sheets, but I'm new here so I don't know where any outlets at here. Da sheets I've seen are to nice to just leave behind for the prices I've seen. I talked to Allen yesterday. He said I can bring as many games I like. He said my daughter could bring coloring books, crayons & color pencils. He said no one ever asked to bring markers, but I don't think he'd let those n. My visit is Tuesday & Allen said I'd c him on my way out Thursday. Does anyone know where I can find a locker to rent in palmdale or Lancaster? Trying to find a place to store my phones. Allen & da others said they won't store for me. I'm coming by bus so can't keep in a car.

Not sure where to rent a locker per say, but if you bank with CHASE or WELLS FARGO, you could rent a safe deposit box for around $35 or so a year and use it every time you have a FV. Just a thought...

Ladies, quick question... How long does it take for the Captain to sign off on a family visiting application more or less?

Thank you... We're one step closer to our date...

Yay!! Finally got our first visit scheduled.. however now? I'm pretty nervous.. I don't know the procedure - what I can take and what I can't.. like I read one of the comments that we can bring lingerie? without wires/metal hooks right? and what about make up? (not that THAT is so important.. I just feel naked without it somedays.. lol) Also how does standby status work? does it affect an already scheduled family visit? (Just curious - because should anyone be canceling over the next two months - well I of course would jump at the chance to take your place! And board games? we can take them in? but are we allowed to bring them back out? And as far as getting there - is there a special place we'd park our vehicles - you know while we're in FV?

Yay!! Just wanted to thank all the ladies who helped me out with all my crazy questions.. and of course to Ms. tbrent75 for trading dates with us!! Because of her kindness - My hubby and I were able to have our "honeymoon" visit a whole month earlier!! Visit went great, the C.O's were awesome throughout the entire process - and well the hubs and I were in heaven for the last 2 nights.. (except of course for all those counts!!) I am of course now, yet again counting down the days to our NEXT family visit.. But again I don't think I could have done this whole family visiting thing - and go through it so smoothly without all of you.. so THANK YOU!!

We're only allowed to order from ACCESS or WALKENHORST. And the order must be a minimum of $50.00.

Well myself and my husband were having FV at LAC for over 3 years prior to him being transferred to SAC in 2011. However I would bring music CD's or DVD I believe it was 5 in total, cleaning solution, such as lysol spray or wipes, a sponge, dishwater detergent, KY oil, lingerie, games, and also cosmetics for the hubby. At the time if was officer Allen, he really didn't trip he likes for you to arrive at 9 so he can get you in there. Hopefully he's still the FV officer because my husband was just transferred back yesterday, looking forward to our next one.
