Can anyone tell me about visiting times and procedures? For a Level 1 yard, I understand so far that an appointment is not needed for Level 1??? A little lost over here
Can I visit both Sat and Sundays? And times?

I visit SHU so I'm not familiar with G.P. visits but you can call and ask. They're pretty helpful with Q&A's. (707) 465-1000 Visiting is Ext 5425.

We used to get double visits Sat & Sun..so a total of 4hrs each day..annnd we used to get to pick our times.. They stopped doing that when they moved all visits for "C" and "D" SHU's to "C's" visiting area.

I actually have a question. I'm approved to visit an inmate at another California prison but i have NOT visited. My cousin is at pb and he sent me a visitation form. It asked if I have visited another inmate..yes the answer would be no.. but should i still put the other inmates info for the fact that i am approved?? I tried calling but couldn't get a hold of staff.

I would say no if you haven't visited yet.

They had told me send it straight in and to Attention it to Visiting. No need to put his info on the envelope. As long as he already signed it it should be good.

I think his guesstimate is about right. Prob 6 - 8 weeks if you have no issues with your record. My son just got approved, and it took that amount of time.

It took less than a week to get my mom approved. I even called before I sent it and they said it would take 2-3 days once they got it. And sure enough my hubby got the approval pprs the next week. This was last month.

I sent mine off today addressed that way. I was told it takes about a month to hear back. I'm expecting to get denied first time and have to reapply though anyways
