Default "Ricky's World" is no longer -- ex-Fulton jailer enters plea


Former Fulton County jailer Ricky Parnell pleaded guilty to 10 out of 11 federal charges Thursday involving fraud and conspiracy. In court, Parnell admitted to intentionally defrauding the people he served in what investigators called a kickback scheme.

Not terribly forthcoming about his actual behavior. I was amused at the 200 years prison plus 3 years probation!

As the media tends to do, they exaggerate and overlook that sentences are rarely cumulated. At least they noted that prosecutors were recommending a low sentence, although having done so undercuts the hype they try to give the maximum additive value...
