Default Assessment, Rating-- What determines "High" or "Very High"?

What is the numeric rating they get assigned? My friend was like a 5, and is not -1. His assessment is Very High. A long while back, that changed to just High.

It depends on what assessment as there are several.

One is the LS/CMI which uses age, education, job history, criminal history, etc.

Another is a Mental Health assessment.

Those numbers are usually high.

For security/classification, the numbers are 1-5 with 5 meaning one must be in a maximum security facility, either because of the crime or because of institutional behavior. For instance, if one keeps getting write ups or has pending charges their number will go up. 1 is usually for camp or minimum facilities.

Wow, I just realized all my typos/mistakes on my message. He was a 4 I think, and he said he's now negative 1. Is it possible to be negative? He had been rated Very High and is now High. But that was months ago that that had changed. He's already been classified as Community, Level 1. So he's minimum, and camp eligible. He's currently in SAP. He had his annual review (I guess?) around his birthday in July. Which is what this numeric change is from, I believe.
