I really want to get a job. My son goes to school from 8am -4pm and I get very bored now because he's not here. I wake up and take him to school, do my housework and laundry and then just wait until it's time to pick him up. It gets very boring now that I'm alone. Before I was busy but not now that I'm all by myself.
I often wonder what jobs would be available to someone like me though? I have college education from Israel .
I think getting a job is a really good idea.

I also think praying is a good idea. I need to do more of that and less worrying. I make myself sick with worry about him being there.

Some of my family is in NY and I'm not too far from there so I may also plan on taking weekend trips to see them now that I'm alone. ( They never really got used to the plural relationship thing. I understand that though and respect their opinions even though I do not share them)

I pray a lot also, could possibly work at the school your son attends? Then you could have the same days off as he does, maybe substitute teach?

I live in North Idaho, we have many polygamist families that live here, lots of plural marriages. I now understand why you were concerned that you we not considered immediate family. I’m monogamist, but I do know many of these families. They are of the FLDS religion, it’s illegal here, however they rarely are bothered by authorities unless it’s Federal issue. One of the husbands was sent to Federal a couple of years ago, even though they didn’t work out of the home, several of these ladies have went to work, most out of need to survive, he went to Prison for having a 14 year old pregnant wife. They all help each other out with child care, he has 8 wives, unlike you there are only 2, this is why working at the school might be beneficial.

Thanks. I promise that my loved one isn't Warren Jeffs. Lol!
I'm going to look online today for jobs. I will be so happy to have something to do.

Update- it looks like I'll be wearing the potato sack after all because my period is late. Having another baby while he's in prison is scary but I know I'll be just fine. I can do it even though the situation isn't ideal.
It's sad to think about giving birth alone and he would miss out on so much though.

Can I ask you how it went? What others were wearing? I am going this month to see someone at Fort Dix, I have gone to visit anyone at a federal prison and I am struggling with trying to find something even somewhat cute while following all the rules. I am traveling 14 hours to see him and I do not want to screw anything up. Thanks so much for all your help.

No more crying all day- instead be productive for my son's sake.

That's all I have so far.

What are some other things that you guys do to help pass the time in a productive manner?
