Question What does the orange jumpsuit mean

my husband in the hole at sci Dallas and I just noticed on the inmate locator that his picture was changed he's due for release and now he's in the orange jumpsuit does that mean anything go.. is there any chance that he could be either on his way home or back in populations due to him being an orange jumpsuit

I hope someone who is familiar with that prison will answer. Different color jump suits almost always signify differing threat levels assigned to the prisoners, but each prison system determines what they mean. Red and orange often mean that the prison considers them to be more dangerous.

Maybe it just means he's in the Hole and/or under investigation....

Found it in policies, on the 12th of 37 pages :

An inmate housed in an L5 unit will be issued an orange jumpsuit with a three-quarter length sleeve. No labeling is required on these items. The clothing will be returned to inventory and laundered for reissue.

Inmate pictures are updated periodically. The orange jumpsuit is what he wears in the RHU.
Justice and compassion don't have to be exclusive.
