Default Pima Minimum Security Facility - Drug Testing

I have to self surrender for 5 days in about a week. I am eligible for work release after two days.

My question is do they do a urine test at intake or after each day? Or is there just a breathalyzer? I donít abuse drugs but I do have a Xanax prescription and would like to take on prior to each night. I wonít be or appear high, I just need something for the anxiety of jail life and to help me sleep.

Are urine tests mandatory or even common? Or just breathalyzers? Thanks!

Have the doctor that prescribed the Xanax send that info over to Pima and/or call the facility and ask what their procedure is for inmates that are prescribed meds If you can turn over your meds to medical, they'll give you the correct dosage every evening.

If you try to get over on them and get caught expect a new charge

They donít allow Xanax or anything like it in jail in AZ anymore. Prescription or not.

I guess they have their reasons for that....Hey. Its 5 days. You can do that standing on your head I highly doubt they'll take blood every day for the 3 days you're on work release. Search, yes. Blood, no. But I'm not in AZ and not familiar with their policies / procedures. Good luck, were it me, I'd just do the 5 days and go home
