Default When does Gain time start accruing in Florida DOC?

Ok so I have another question to ask... my husband just got to prison on the 1st right... so when or how does gain time start or applied?? How does it work?? He's in prison in SFRC. Mind you his release date is 10/11/17 according to DOC search.... please help thanks

You can call classification and ask, as the website won't show gaintime until it's earned....

If that's his release date and your correct he should do only 51 days. But I never heard of them sending some one to prison for 51 days. But if the date is 10/11/17 they will keep him at sfrc.

Exactly what I thought but they did send him. He got 18 months and had 15 months and 20 days which was more then 85% but they said that since he done more then 85% that he still owes them 2 months. I was like huh??. But that's what they say.

xolady, I was astounded, but they've been sending them for less than 365 here lately.

When a defendant is sentenced, they are given credit for the actual amount of time already served. Gain time can only be accrued after the sentence has been imposed.
