Question Info on WSC

Got some info from mrssunnyb. My friend was moved there last Wednesday but I haven't heard from him yet. Just wondered how busy visitation was on the weekends.

weekends arent bad either. I was there this past Saturday and it was pretty full. However, that was the first time it has ever been that full. I have yet to see any body termed.

Red face Thanks

I want to see him but it's a 3 hour drive. I don't want to go all the way up there and find out I can't get in because it's too crowded. Besides that, I'm being dropped off. What does everyone do when you're there all day?

sorry so late....but i go on saturdays about everyother month and its pretty full when i go. the vending has been really good imo and they stock it during the visitation so it seems to be pretty full. the most time i have waited to get in there was 45 min a couple of weekends ago. the co's have always been courteous to me however i really watch myself...dont want to get lil bro in trouble . real laid back

Red face Visit

When you have to wait for an extended period of time (like 45 minutes), do you wait in a waiting room or do you have to leave and come back? I read where people arrived early and had to leave and come back. I'm being dropped off and I don't want to have to walk around the outside of the prison.

waiting that long is not normal IMO. if you get there around count time - you will have to wait.

call the facility to see how early you can arrive for a visit.

we just wait in the waiting room. no one has asked us to leave but there wernt a lot of people waiting either, so im not sure about that one. also, the last time i went with the 45 min wait i thought about leaving and coming back but i was not sure if they would let me in again. they prolly would but since i live 3.5 hours away i dont take any chances

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had problems with visinting apps at West Shoreline? For example, being denied based on wrong info. etc., taking months? I'm asking because I had a situation and I complained. My app was denied without merit and a personal vendetta. It was corrected, once I complained. I was told the ARUS is very professional. Not! My husband told me that several guys have said that they have had this problem in the past also, as many as three times. Anyway, if you've had a problem, I think that it's important to let someone know, I know the ramifications at times for speaking up, but it really irks me that these people are allowed to treat our loved ones without respect and dignity and they're not doing there jobs. They don't have to like them, just do YOUR job. Right? If we don't speak up, then this will continue and make things worst than they are. I think anybody can respect someone doing their job. Basically, if someone "up" is aware of what's going on in the units, then they can't act surprised when someone is pulled on the carpet. Then, the people that are doing there jobs will DO their jobs. So guys, I know every battle is not one to fight, pick them wisely, but let's STOP MDOC from mistreating our loved ones, they don't have a chance inside, but you'd be surprised about the power of the pen. Especially, in this time of uncertainty! Thanks for reading.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in carpooling. I have used that Miss Van service but it was a really crowed and uncomfortable 3 hour ride. I live Down River (Taylor) so if there is anyone out there who interested let me know!!

I think this last call has to be made b4 11:30 but my husband says if he picks up the phone right when they turn them off you can talk to almost midnight. We always hang up b4 cause count is at 12:00

Thanks, Solong2go.

Seems if 4 men had escaped, your husband would have heard about it.
