Default Son heard an Educational program is pretty violent

My son is considering a transfer to an educational program. He's heard it is pretty violent. Should I worry?

Somehow that don't make sense to me The majority of inmates take programs for the Good Time (if applicable in Alabama) and/or because it looks good to the Parole Board to take programs (and work etc). I would think that if any inmates became violent while participating in any program 1) they'd get a write-up & all that goes with it; 2) They'd be booted out of the program = no Good Time for it & the Board will certainly take note of that when the time comes for a parole hearing.

The question is...Where or what facility is the program at?? My guy is at St Clair and for some CRAZY reason- thats also where the TC program is at. This is one of-if not the #1 right now- the most dangerous facilities. Why judges would order a drug offender to take ANY program there is beyond me!
So unless it is a "required" program--I'd advise him to stay where its ""safe""

Yeah, Alabama has Good Time. The thing with the TC Program at St Clair is that, its a maximum security facility. So eventho the the drug dorm is in its own block- they are in contact with the lifers and all the other inmates. There is so many level 4s that is sent there, its unbelievable!
