Default Georgia Inmate Shoes

My fiancé is at Dooly state prison and I wanted to buy him some nice “free world” shoes and send them to him. How can I do that ? I saw some inmates in Nike slides during visitation and when I my friend that’s a CO said a lot of inmates at the prison she works at have Jordans and nike shoes.

Does Georgia allow the purchase of inmate packages?

It's also possible that the canteen/commissary sells those shoes, so it's just a matter of putting the money on his books.

I'm afraid I don't know much about the Georgia rules & regs, but I'd start looking with whether or not he can buy them through canteen first.

Georgia does allow inmate packages through Union Supply. Here is a link to the DOC site with info on how to order.http://www.dcor.state.ga.us/sites/de...der_Notice.pdf
The site to order online is www.GAinmatepackage.com
As for getting expensive shoes & items, I don't recommend it. Things have a way of being taken or used for trade. I remember getting my son some shoes & sending them in but they weren't expensive ones & there are regulations. I would suggest you call Dooley or the DOC to ask before you buy & send anything from outside.
