Default Does his # go on a Stamp? And where?

I recall, somewhere, I read something about putting their # on their stamps.

I don't quite understand how that is done when stamps are so small, I just don't get it. And I'm guessing it has to be those little books

Yes, the books. Or sheets, now. I use a fine point Sharpie and write his last name or CDC in the 'decorative' area. You don't have to do it, it's just a way to keep them from being sent to another cell.

fyi, dont write ON the stamp itself. Write either in the decorative area, or the small margins separating the stamps.
Also I used to write on the outside of the envelope......like say on the back of the envelope........2 page letter, book of XX stamps.....one photograph.
and the date mailed out.
