That's good. If he classified as minimum, he will be sent to Delta, Skyline, Rifle or Camp George.

Thanks all. This is a great place and everyone has lots of information to share and it does help. Helped me through a lot- years ago including an Interstate Compact and lots of other issues. All that went well which hopefully will be in his favor this time too. Hope they update the inmate locator soon. Helps to know which ones he could be going too as well.

Well I just became a user to this site. I have looked on here daily for a couple months now. I have had many questions regaurding my boyfriend, but really never knew where to turn to for answers. I would always look on the internet for answers. And one day I came upon this site. It was so nice to see others had same questions as me. However, I have also noticed that not many people post in Colorado as others in different states. I know all of us are in the same boat with our loved ones in prison, but where are all my Colorado Women/Men. Why arent we blowing up this site? I am so glad I finally became a member. Its a really good place to go to blow off steam, or just to talk to some one who can relate with out criticizing. And in different Fourms not all prisons are the same as Colorado's. So, for me being new to all this, I would like to get to become familiar with how D.O.C works and just to meet new people, who are going thru the same things...I know there has to be tons of Men and Women who just waiting for our loved ones to come home. And are facing problems with everyday, and we feel like we are all alone and no one can understand. So how about it Colorado..I'm so willing to meet new people, I'm tired of going thru this alone. Where are all my Colorado people at????
Hello! I'm new on here and was wondering the same thing! Where are the Colorado peeps???? This is new to me...

HI this sort of new to me too I stopped talking in here because it is not as active my son is in Crowley too I am visiting him tomorrow yay finally get to see him!! He has made it to the Incentive Pod which is a place for inmates get sent to on good behavior and that follow the rules I am so Thankful he dicaplined himself to stay to himself and do what hes told it still sucks dont get me wrong that he is in there but I sleep better at night knowing he is in with others who just want to do there time and go home. Ladies dont feel sad this is not forever just keep encouraging them to do classes available to them and to apply for the jobs they offer. So stay strong ladies i know its a hard journey but its not forever. You can put money on their books through Jpay and order food packages for them from Union Supply Direct. God Bless

Thank You It was awesome I did a Special Visit because I live out of state so this was my first time make sure you take a $5.00 to get a vending machine card and then you can add up to $85 on the card for the vending machines once you get in there go and check in with the guard to get a table then go buy the food and drinks you want for the both of you for the visit. ONLY take in your money for the card and your car keys and driver license thats it not allowed to have a cell phone in the facility. Have fun when you go Oh and have him fill out a form to get a pic taken with you on your visit too.

Sure thing make sure you read the guidelines for the dress code they are not too strict as long as the top conceals everything as it says and I saw a couple of ladies with Jeggins on those jeans with a spandex fabric I wished I would of known they would of been more comfortable lol but yes pix have him fill it out before your visitnot the day of. Well yay have a great visit oh one more thing dont wait for them to call you on the approval call them.

I also came across this site a few years ago and just recently signed up. I am glad that I did. I have a lot of information to share but I also have a lot of questions also. I am glad this site is out here for all of us. It is so needed I know that my soon to be mother in law and I lean on each other a lot because there is such a stigma about having someone in prison and so you just don't say to much to people. We talk to each other a lot because of that. We also stick together when it come to having to fight for her son. It is a constant battle to get him medical treatment that he needs. I had some insight on what you needed to do with DOC to get them to do things and it has helped some. Things have gone a little better but not much. They have already caused him a great deal of permanent damage because of their negligence and total disregard for him getting medical treatment. I wrote a lot more but I decided to delete it for his safety. I really need to vent but I cannot do it in an open forum. I am so scared for him right now and all I can do is cry most of the time lately. I know the majority of the employees attitudes towards the inmates and their key phrase of malingering (faking it) which they are no longer allowed to use in their reports. The thinking hasn't changed so they have just found a new word I am sure. I cannot say much because if I did and someone read it they would then target him at the facility more than they do now. Because of their negligence I am afraid I am going to end up loosing him and so is his mother. If you do not really understand the staffs attitude towards your loved ones DOC lost a law suit a few years back because of the death of an inmate by the name of Christopher Lopez. Check that out for yourself. I have been sick for the last few years but I am getting better and as soon as I can I will spend my time trying to help reform the prison system. We have way to many men and women incarcerated and we are spending way to much of our tax payers money on doing so. I am one of those tax payers and enough is enough. I was looking at a report on the ACLU web site yesterday and what I read about a lot of our County courts made my skin crawl but it did not surprise me at all. Thanks for letting me vent wish I could have said so much more because I know so much more. But I too live in fear.

Hi Phoenix,
My son's at Crowley too. I think the jobs are few and far between unfortunately. He's supposed to be reclassified next month so hopefully will be going to a minimum. I guess there are worse places he could be, but Crowley sounds like a mess in many ways. Hope your son's doing well.
