Default Clements prison unit Visitation

Anyone out here that visits clements ? This weekend is my first visit there and I wanted to get an idea of what to expect. I know it should be similar to his other unit but I also know they all have their own quirks.

I visit my fiancé every weekend. I've had really good experiences so far. If you are going in the morning though get there early, they won't let you past the gate til after 8am, but there will be a long line waiting and it'll take a while to get checked in.

Vending machines work most of the time, but there are those times that they don't and if you aren't there early you risk the chance of them being empty.

Try not to wear any metal anything that isn't necessary, no excessive jewelry or metal studs on your clothes. This won't necessarily cause you any problems, as the staff has always been pleasant, but it will delay you a little with the check in process.

They will probably not be seating people outside, they haven't done that in weeks because of short staffing or the weather and it's supposed to be really cold on Saturday.

Oh, another note on the vending machines, if you want Dr. Pepper in a can, be aware that sometimes it comes out Coke instead. I stick with bottles, that way you know exactly what you are getting.

You are allowed a hug and kiss at the start and end to your visit, but don't linger too long, some of the staff are a little picky on this point. You can hold hands through the entire visit though.

Hope all goes well!
