Is there a petition being circulated for "good time"?

If there is, and if its been posted here on PTO it should be in the Petition forum (HERE).

EDIT: I have located petition on Change.org, but its 6 years old : ( (HERE) and another that's 8 years old (HERE) Maybe you could start a new one

I'm sure there is. But with Truth In Sentencing (and the federal dollars that come with it), it will take more than a petition to bring good time back.

Thanks. I am looking for something to do with disciplinary credits or prisoner rehabilitation act

Best thing to do would be to contact your state representatives to let them know what you want to see and ask them what their stance is on these issues. You'll likely find that he or she hasn't given it much thought so it's a chance for you to educate them.

Unfortunately, though, legislators sometimes believe that doing anything that helps prisoners leads to negative publicity, and so even if your legislator appears open to discussion or sympathetic, they may not be willing to put their neck on the line by sponsoring the legislation that would bring the changes you want.
