Default Who should I write a letter of hardship to?

Hi, Would you happen to know anyone I should get in touch with here in Washington to be able to send a letter of hardship? My guy is still in Shelton but has been moved from R2 to R5 and some of the other guys are telling him he needed to have me write a hardship letter to get him down by me to Larch. Autism has it's nasty grip on my 24 year old daughter pretty severely. Traveling for her is not good nor is leaving her for very long with a care provider, she gets violent. She is not his daughter. I don't think I could bring her for visits anyway in case she were to get out of hand. Any info you have would be great. I still have not been cleared for visits yet. Thanks.

I'm not entirely certain who you should write to. I've moved your post into its own thread, so hopefully someone else who knows more than I do about the system will see it and be able to give you useful information.

You can send a doctors letter to his Class Counseler or DOC correspondence unit and it will be added to his file.

Keep in mind he may not qualify for Larch right away.
