Default **May WI chit-chat** :)

Hello there!

It is May and the birds are laying eggs, as we say here in Holland, at WI-Forum's outer borders

I have been away much and I apologise sincerely to anyone I have failed and failed to support.

May everyone have sweet visits, nice phonecalls (Verrry Cheeeaaap!) and a lot of nice mail and good news.

Last year on this day I was visiting my friends in the supermax WSPF in Boscobel. It was a short visit: two times an hour, in a freezing videobooth, and for the first time in my life I attempted to hug a videoset!!!

One of my friends in there is in a better condition, with more 'priviliges' than last year, my other friend is in the same condition, 23 out of 24 hours locked up and no window to look out of, since the last 6 years. May humanity wake up and see that this leads to the destruction of lives rather than to rehabilitation, reconciliation, more peace and love in this world!

Reverend Abelle has spoken, amen!!

I almost tried to so the same thing when visiting my baby in County before!!!!!

I agree..people need to a wake up and realize that what they are doing to These people is imhuman and does nothing but create people who can no longer function at the level they should be able to in society!

Hello everyone!
Well a week or more has passed by, I hear from those who know the WI system from close by that things are not going so well there, for instance the "changes" supposed to be happening at WSPF the supermax are a bitter disappointment (still no contact visits, hardly any jobs for those who are in general population etc).
Also there was a lock down for quite some time at Green Bay.
I heard nasty stories last month of stabbings and suicides at WCI. It makes me wonder how our families and friends will come out of these living dungeons one day.
I can only hope that those in charge wake up and start realizing that this is not the way forward, things in the prison sysem will have to be changed, and notonly there, but outside too, in the education and health system, so that more people (like, everyone?) will have better, fairer chances of succeeding in living a life not influenced by violence, treason, bullying, etc.

Hi! So, my guy is in Waupun CI and he is getting staffed to Racine soon! He JUST saw his social worker on Wednesday and they recommended that he gets to go!! YAY! It should be June when he is transferred to RCI. So worst case, depending on when he starts his Earned Release Program...he'll be home in a year. Best case...he'll be home in JANUARY!! YAY!!
Personally, I'd much rather regret something I'd done rather than something I was too afraid to do. LONDON
