Question Possible release date? Are months counted as 30 or 31?

So my honey was just sentenced to 3 years with half and was given 166 days credit. When I went to visit him today, he said CA prisons count every month as 30 days, so the months that have 31 days, they take a day off. Does this sound right?

I figured out his EPRD is 12-12-12. Since he went to jail in June and there's 10 months that have 31 days, is his "new" EPRD 12-1-12?

I'm sooo confused on all this!

CDCR calculates release dates by multiplying the number of months x 30 days, subtracting pre-sentence credits, and subtracting the percentage of conduct credits that applies to the sentence.

I'm assuming the conduct credits are the "day for day" or whatever. If he was in county for one day, they gave him a good conduct credit.

Is that what you're talking about?

Sorry, I feel so dumb with all this!

Yes, it means just that. On the Abstract it breaks it down, there's a box for actual days served and a box for credits and then it it totaled.
