My husband is being transferred to Susanville in hopes of getting into fire camp training. He should arrive in Susanville on Wednesday. I was wondering how long should it take before he should see committee? When should he be able to use the phone? Will he be able to write me as soon as he gets there? Will he have some type of orientation period where he wont be able to use the phone? Is it dorm living or cell? If its dorm living are the phones in the dorms or out on the yard? When should he be eligible to get a visit? will my approval to visit follow him or will I have to reapply?
lol, I have those same questions

If you were already approved it should transfer over, but check to make sure

So, I guess I'm a CCC newbie now Inmate locator has been updated and fiancé has landed on the B yard today.... It says in the facility information "B Unit, Infirmary" - I hope this means there's also an infirmary on B yard and not that everyone who is on B yard is in the infirmary??

Thanks

I've been doing some reading about this place, also here on PTO and it seems the B yard used to be called the Sierra yard...and it does look like it's a normal yard with the Infirmary just there too

I don't think he'll be calling any time soon; it appears this facility is on lockdown a lot at least based on what couple of ladies have posted here, not hearing from their loved ones in weeks (plus he may be going through orientation right now)...but, I've started writing again so hopefully the mailroom doesn't totally suck

If he's in reception as Im understanding it now.....he will get one call a month. He can write anytime he gets supplies to do so.
If he's NOT in reception there is a short time frame where he's in orientation that he may not be able to call, but he should be able to write again, as long as he's got supplies to do so
