Default Milestone credits-GED

my hubby is due to take ged he passed the pre-test they now all of sudden sierra needs his high school transcripts, I got them sent to the prison, and hopefully he takes test soon or this week. He is so close to getting out and the milestone would give him 4-6 weeks off his time. my question is would they have test graded and scored by august, or how long for him to find out results from test. is it too late to use milestone credits.

I am also curious about the milestone credits. It seems like the GED is the only milestone credit available at SCC? Do they just take the test, then if they pass get 6 weeks off?
Mine doesn't have enough time left to qualify for camp (release date in September), so milestone credits are the only hope for cutting a few more weeks off..

Anybody with any info regarding the milestone credits at SCC that could share their experience, would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

My husband has been taki g a masonry class and is getting credits as long as he passes the curriculum tests. He said they are hard. But worth it to get the knowledge and credits. So there should be other classes available to take

So.. Do they have to take like an assessment test or something before they take the GED?
My husband is waiting for his education ducket (actually its come twice, but both times they were on lockdown, so he couldnt go :/ )
How long does it take from the first time they go to education for them to be able to take the actual ged and get credits? is there a whole process? or do they just take the test??
(his release date is september 16, but i'd sure prefer it to be august 2!!)

My husband took the GED last week

As of now, he has just under 6 weeks left to his release date.
Do you know how long it takes after they take the GED to get the results? and then how long to have the milestones applied to his sentence?

Do you think it will help speed up the process if I start calling his counselor? is there anyone else I should try calling to make it happen faster??

I just got the results of my husband's GED in the mail (test date 7/31).
He passed all 5 subjects! So, he gets 6 weeks off!
He only has 5 weeks left till his release date, so I suppose he'll be out as soon as SCC processes the credits.. Here's to hoping they don't take 5 weeks to do it!
Im gonna call his counselor and records tomorrow...
