Question Probation violation, doing yoa or shock program(?) What's his release date?

So my boyfriend was on probation and he went to court 2/16/17 for probation violation. .. When i look on the scdc website it says his projected release date is 2/16/2021... His boss sais he is supposed to be doing some kind of 45 day program and wouldnt be gone long. His peobation officer told me he would be doing a couple months... I talked to my boyfriend on the phone tuesday he is at R&E in SC and he said he will be transferred to turbeville in 10 days and then his time would start... He says he only has 3 months....i am just so confused with everyone telling me all these times and he says 3 months and if anyone know he would right? Well i have no clue... Someone please help me.. Someone said he is doing yoa or shock program. Idk i just want to know how long he will be gone for because i cant get a straight answer from anyone...please help if you can.

I'm not familiar with South Carolina, but the 2/16/2021 dates *sounds like* it may be his max date, which wouldn't be applicable if he's participating in a special program of some sort that will release him back out on parole at some point. Hopefully someone familiar with SC will have a more specific answer for you. Welcome to PTO

The date you stated is the max out date based upon his terms of his sentencing upon arrival at R&E. Once the classification office confirms his information and he's transferred to Turbeville when a bed is available for him, the site will be updated and he should complete the terms of his sentencing for YOA/shock program there. Best wishes to you both.

Okay, so basically there is a chance of him only having three months like he said?

From my understanding, the department of corrections does not alter the terms of his sentencing unless he commits an infraction that leads to him getting more time while there. Whatever the judge determined when he went back to court for violating probation is what he has to serve. The max out date sounds like what he was sentenced to prior to being granted probation. He more than likely is aware of that information (sentencing) for of the dates he's been given to make sense.
