All yards are reception except A and E. Those yards are mainline. If you want a specific address you can call inmate records and they will give it to you. Each yard has a different PO Box.

Ever since right before Father's Day the mail was backed up. It is a combination of many things, the holiday caused an influx of mail, it's summer so staff are taking vacation, and Wasco is at something like 172% capacity right now and most of the inmates (besides the few who are mainline)can only communicate by letter. The mail room is just overwhelmed. Hope you all get mail soon ☺️

Unhappy

I believe it. I hate it and it discouraged me a lil from writing which I know is the last thing to do is not write but damn it's taking a minute for him to get my letters. I get his going on bout why I'm not writing n what not. It's not me it's them but I know he figures it out when he compares postal dates n stuff so. It just sucks tho. The struggles. Lol.

Yes it is. And it also helps knowing u not the only one going thru it. I'll have to get some post cards too. I send regular cards thinking there's not much to read right but same thing they take forever. I'll be glad when he just comes home.

I was wondering just how long are the letters taking to get to any of you? I know about the holidays, vacations etc. But he just got there on the 1st of July and with the holiday I've only gotten one letter from him, its not like him not to write. This isn't our first rodeo but I know things have changed, although that part never changes how the mail sucks.....lol but thanks for any info!!

Yea his was the 4th I really try not to worry because I do understand the system and all but since he just arrived it is unusual for him not to write more than 1 letter. Again it's probably the mail room is back logged!

That's what I'm hoping also. When it comes up on 2 weeks with nothing all these crazy thoughts go through my head. Is he sick, got in trouble? Or maybe it's me lol can't wait till this reception crap is over.

I agree, this is one of the most troubling and frustrating times!! But, all the prisons go through it during the holidays summer etc. But once he's at where he'll be for awhile it'll be cool until they make another decision on his behalf. Just have to hang tight for now!!

Default Need info on next move

Soon this waiting game will be over !!! My hubby saw his counselor, waiting to hear which prison he's going to, but I'm wondering how much longer does he have to wait till they move him ? Also should I stop sending letters? Since the mail is always backed up I wouldn't want to have all these letters mailed back to me. Any info on the next steps would be appreciated.
