Default I need help with Compassionate Release letter in Indiana

Okay, I'm new here, so first and foremost hello! What would I need to do to get a compassionate release process going? My mother was recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and they told her she has 6-12 months to live. She has been at an Indiana women's facility for 3 years and in prison since 2012. She was sentenced to 20 years but considering the disease and the amount of time she has and the fact that she has no prior criminal record, she has been a model inmate and is involved in many programs, I was hoping I would be able to get her out. What is the probability of that happening? I have been trying to write a letter to the warden of the facility asking for a compassionate release but I am not entirely sure what to include in the letter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to Prison Talk. I hope you are able to find a way to have your Mother released early.

Here's an Indy Star article about compassionate release, and other programs for terminally ill inmates in the Indiana prison system.

This is what the author says about the chances there.
"But only 27 states allow such early releases. In Indiana, the governor must approve early compassionate releases, but few are ever granted".
