I had a friend I was corresponding with but we fell out of touch. That was about a year ago. I recently wanted to know how he is doing with the CoVid and all. I looked him by name and number on TXDJ and got nothing. Have tried several times over the past couple of weeks.
So I finally broke down and called the main number and got all the way to a recording where you can put in their number to find out where they are located, but it wouldn't give me the info.
So then I talked to someone who wouldn't tell me anything, but she told me to call the Ward Officer at the Michael Unit, so I did just that. The woman I spoke to was so rude, and wouldn't tell me anything because I am not a listed contact person, and then she hung up on me while I was still talking. Ugh.
I think he may very well be deceased or terminally ill, and I am leaning toward the first one.
Can anyone give me any ideas about how to find something out?
Is it okay to put his information on here?
Thank you for any help that anyone can offer.
I did a Google search "how to find out if an inmate in Texas is deceased" and I found that Texas Dept of Corrections does have a public database. He died on September 8, 2020 alone in his cell. At least I know now.
