Eigible for early release/judicial release?: sentence 3 + 1 yr consecutive
My boyfriend was sentenced to 3 years for one crime (not mandatory time) then 1 year mandatory to run after the 3 years. (In Ohio) I’m trying to figure out if he is eligible for early release/judicial release or if he will have to serve the whole time. He has already got 390 days down. I would ask the public defender he had but the guy is an a** and he already has given incorrect information once (he told us he would only be getting probation and no prison time).
I'm on my phoneand can't move this, but the Ohio forum will get ya more specific answers. The only thing i can add right now is that in general terms, your attorney knows bupkiss about actual time to serve after sentencing. Not their fault, but it's not their job. Once a person enters prison, it is the agency who controls their time. An atty who tries to guarantee you anything beyond what is said at sentencing is outside of their scope of practice.
