Can anyone help ? Caldwell Correctional Center

Good afternoon everyone
I got my brother in law in custody on april 24 2020 in caldwell correctional center in grayson lousiana
I havent heard anything from him and been trying to find information about his case and how to send him money and how the process is. This is the first time for him and for us so we dont know much. Does anyone got any info or loved one there that can help me. Thanks in advance

Caldwell is a local jail? Is that right? In Caldwell Parish? I couldn't find much info on the DOC page other than an address & phone numbers.

I'm sorry about your brother in-law and i don't know much about the prison system but i've attached a link below it states that you have to call the center to obtain your LO's Inmate number and so forth, It also directs you as to how to send mail and place money on their accounts.

My Mr has been a guest of the State of Kentucky a few times over the years, but never in Louisiana. However, the Louisiana Moderator, LifeTraveler, is very knowledgeable about the injustice system there in LA. She might be at work, but will check in here when she can

I'm in a similar position as you. My husband is currently sitting at a county jail awaiting transfer to his destination but at this stage he doesn't know where he's going or when. No-one is giving him any answers and he's stuck in county because of the virus. And it's very hard on the both of us because we are countries away. At least you have the advantage of being in the same country as yours, maybe not in the same area but at least in the same country. Good luck and all the best.
