Default Another day at the office

Don't take it personal that was the attitude of the federal prosecutors and sentencing judge who handed down 22 years in the federal system for my son it was matter of fact no matter what I said about my son or how I tried to make him sing like he was loved brother uncle a grandson he didn't matter their minds were made up

Welcome to Prison Talk, Judges are sworn to be fair, honest and non judgmental, but not all of them are.

Sometimes the judges cant really decide how long. Im not sure about federal issues but I know state usually has mandatory minimum sentences that they have to give.

Some of the states have tried to change that in the last year and with recent elections, but generally there are mandatory minimums in most states. That is part of why we have so many people in prison. It is better to make a deal on lesser charges regardless of the fact situation than it is to risk a trial.
