Georgia Parole, Probation, Work Release & Community ServiceAll information & questions relating to parole, probation, work release and community service in Georgia should be posted here.
I have a few questions.
1.) How many times will their case be reviewed by parole? His counselor said it isn’t reviewed every 6 mos, but few ppl in my husband building who’s been through prison before says no, they do review it every 6 mos. I believe them vs a counselor but correct me if I’m wrong. He’s a perm at GDCP. He has some PIC points but no change in TPM.
2.) How were you first notified your LO TPM was changed? The TPM online site or somewhere else?
His counselor said 1/20/21 his file is reviewed, but not by parole. I’m confused and need help if anyone has been through this.
I have not been directly involved with GA DOC, but as I understand it, most folks find out about their TPM date online. They don't get notified any other way unless their loved one finds out first and notifies them.
As for parole, I don't know how often it gets reviewed nor how often it's supposed to get reviewed, but hopefully someone else will be along with more information than I have.

It can be confusing. The Southern Center For Human Rights is based in Atlanta & they have put together a parole guide that may help answer some of your questions. https://www.schr.org/wp-content/uplo...dbook-2015.pdf
