Default Number of Pages In a Letter

Folks, this may seem like a weird question but I'm wondering if there is a limit to the number of written pages I can mail. When my friend was in county jail, awaiting transfer to Federal, they only allowed 2 pages per letter. I've not written more than one since he's been in Federal (guess old habits die hard). Just wondering if I need to keep limiting myself...or can I include more pages? Thanks for your replies!

More pages should be fine. I received letters that included multi page internet printouts without any problems. I imagine there is probably a limit, but it's definitely more than 2 pages per letter.

I too have sent many, pages to Feds. I don't remember how many, but I do remember I needed three stamps.

I've never encountered a problem with page limitations. Letters and printouts with photos and other things. Although, I do spread out materials in separate envelopes to avoid too much weight in a single envelope.

Hi John, The last letter I sent my husband was a large mailing envelope with a 39 page computer printout. If your letters are longer than that you should save them and write a book! LOL. Actually many people have suggested I write one, now I wish I had journaled throughout this experience.

That's ironic 'cause I've talked with Ronnie about us writing a book (more like a diary-type of handbook) for people who find themselves in this situation. Ronnie would have the insight into the inmate's viewpoint and I would be able to tell the things I had to do outside. Of course, I'm sure someone has already written such a book (wish I'd known where to get one)!
Something also interesting...I wait tables during the week (church music director on the weekends) and one of my "regulars" is a former Federal Judge, and his wife, for our district! How many times I've thought about asking him if he would, instead of tipping me, overturn Ronnie's sentencing LOL! Of course I would never even joke with the guy about such stuff...just some of the "weird thoughts" that go through my head during all this. I guess that shows what a warped person I am to even think about such stuff, right? LMAO! Oh well...

My husband's judge's former court clerk was my mom's friend. I can't tell you how badly I wanted to ask him to call his old boss and put in a good word. I never did, with my luck it would have come back and bit me in the butt BIG time.

My mom told me about a book written by a husband and wife but it sounded too "born again" for me. I'm just not there.
