Default It's been over a year and I'm better than ever.

So, in Sept 2017 hubby left me for someone else. I thought my world had ended. Now, after being separated from him for over a year, I am doing better than I ever thought I could be. I'm happy in a way I never could have been with him. He still wants things to be the way they were, but it's never gou g to happen. He hasn't changed and isn't capable of it. My world has been so blessed since he left. I have been with my first love since hubby left and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have taken control of my life... Even had weight loss surgery in October. I go to football games... Basketball games and maybe even baseball games this spring... This is my success story.

I want everyone in this section to remember that just because the relationship ended doesn't mean your life did.

Exactly! Heartache is painful but time heals wounds...and when you have the courage to leave a bad relationship behind you're opening yourself up to better things (and people). So glad to hear you're happy

Glad to hear that. Don't know if you are still checking this thread, since it has been a few months since you posted. My husband and I separated four months (after I waited nearly 12 years for him to be released). We didn't even make it a year. After I asked him to leave our home he began looking for women in Facebook inbox two days later. A week later he was in a new relationship. A month later in love and has found the love of his life. Parading around on Facebook with her and acting like a never existed. When questioned about his wife he said we are divorced. I actually just started the divorce process. I am working through it, have accepted it. Not really sad its over but hurt by the way it ended. My friends are surprised that I am handling it so well. I honestly don't miss the relationship because he had already returned to his old ways. But hurtful that he could move on so quickly. Already talking marriage with the other girl.
